The 18th edition of CIGT is starting

After the lockdown imposed by the health emergency, the engines of the Italian Gran Turismo Championship finally start up again.
The first stage will take place this weekend, 18-19 July, on the Mugello circuit.
Daniel, who is racing with Audi Sport Italia this year, is shivering with the desire to get back on the road and fight for the top positions.
Together with Riccardo Agostini and Mattia Drudi, he will take part in the Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship driving an Audi R8 LMS GT3.
The first two free practice sessions begin today and will end tomorrow at 9 with the third and final round. Also on Saturday, from 12:40, the start of qualifying: 3 sessions of 15 minutes for each driver who will decide the starting grid.
“I am very happy and excited for the start of this new season.” – Daniel said – “The team worked very well during the tests and for this reason I am confident in the car’s performance. I’ve established a good feeling with my teammates. There are all the conditions for a great start.”
The appointment, which will be held behind closed doors due to Covid-19, is for Saturday starting from 12:40 with the qualifying sessions and Sunday starting from 14:40 with the 3h race.
For those wishing to follow the event, they can do it live on RaiSport (channel 58) or live streaming on the ACI Sport website and on the Facebook page of the Italian GT Championship.
