The Italian GT Championship is underway

The first round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship is almost here, scheduled for next weekend at the Misano circuit, which will see Daniel return to the GT3 category after a five-year absence.
The Italian driver will be behind the wheel of Team Easyrace’s Ferrari 296 GT3, a car he will share with Leonardo Gorini, a highly experienced Swiss gentleman driver, and the young talent Massimo Perrina, 24, a protagonist in recent seasons of the Ferrari Challenge North America and coached by Mancinelli.
The Italian GT Championship continues to grow year after year, both in terms of technical level and the quality of the crews on the grid, making the Endurance season particularly competitive and spectacular.
For Massimo Perrina, this will be his debut in a GT3 car and his first experience on the Misano circuit. Leonardo Gorini, on the other hand, will represent an important point of reference thanks to his experience, speed, and consistency. Therefore, the conditions for a strong weekend are there.
“I’m very happy to return to compete in the Italian GT Championship, and doing so driving a Ferrari is even more so,” – Daniel said – “Team Easyrace is an old acquaintance, having already raced with them in 2019. It will be exciting to share the car with Massimo, a truly talented young man and my pupil, who arrives from the United States after winning the Ferrari Challenge overseas. Leonardo is one of the most competitive gentleman drivers in the GT scene and will represent a guarantee in terms of experience and speed. I think the mix within the crew is very interesting.”

The weekend will kick off on Friday with free practice. Qualifying starts on Saturday at 6:00 PM, and the 3-hour race begins on Sunday at 2:50 PM.

The race will be broadcast live on TV and streamed on the official channels of the Italian GT Championship and on ACI Sport TV.
