A really unfortunate weekend

The weekend just spent at the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola was decidedly black for the Audi Sport Italia team of Mancinelli and Postiglione.
At the start of the race on Saturday afternoon, Postiglione – thanks to an excellent start – managed to gain a position immediately, taking him to seventh place. Shortly after, however, an overtaking at the limit of Frassineti’s Huracan made him slip to the edges of the Top 10 and, immediately after, a power steering problem compromised the driveability of the car until the decision to retire after the pit stop that would have seen get on track Daniel.
Even in race 2 bad luck continued to characterize the weekend of the Mancinelli-Postiglione couple. Daniel, in fact, who started first, despite an excellent start of the race, was forced to a pit stop due to a puncture in the right rear tire just a few minutes before the opening of the time window useful for driver change.
The double pit stop caused the Audi R8 LMS N.14 to waste a lot of time, forcing Postiglione to finish in thirteenth position.
“What can I say … we were so unlucky.” – Daniel said – “In race 1 while Postiglione was driving the power steering broke and we had to retire. In race 2 I started from the second row, while I was 4 just before the pit stop for the driver change I had a puncture in the right rear wheel and so we had to make an extra pit stop for the replacement by finishing the race in the back. ”
The next appointment with the CIGT Sprint series is at Mugello, next 8-10 October, for the last weekend of the championship.
