The 2026 Italian GT Endurance Championship will be decided at the final round of the season, taking place from October 30 to November 1 at Mugello Circuit. Among the drivers battling for the title will be Daniel Mancinelli, who will take to the track behind the wheel of the No. 26 Ferrari 296 GT3 entered by Easy Race, alongside teammates Leonardo Gorini and Massimo Perrina.
The trio heads into the fourth and decisive round of the season with one clear objective: to secure the Italian championship title in the GT3 AM class. The title fight remains wide open, with just two points separating them from the championship-leading Kessel Racing Ferrari, driven by Oscar Lee Ryndziewicz, Giacomo Altoè and Giovanni Altoè.
Adding to the anticipation ahead of Mugello is the outcome of the previous round at Imola, where Mancinelli and his teammates were firmly in contention for victory. However, a pit stop penalty compromised their chances of winning, leaving the crew to settle for third place.
Despite the disappointing outcome, the team remains fully determined to fight for the championship title right down to the final lap.
“We’re heading to Mugello highly motivated and determined to give everything we’ve got to win the championship.” – said Daniel Mancinelli – “Imola left us with a bitter taste. We were leading the race, but a pit stop penalty dropped us to third place. We know we have everything it takes to bounce back. We’re just two points behind our closest rivals, and our goal is clear: finish ahead of them and do everything we can to bring home the title.”
The battle promises to be particularly intense, with a large field of cars and several crews still fighting for their respective class titles. The three-hour race will be decisive, with speed, strategy, traffic management and flawless pit stops all potentially making the difference.
The weekend schedule includes free practice on Friday, October 30, qualifying on Saturday, October 31, and the final three-hour race on Sunday, November 1, starting at 1:15 PM local time. Those who wish to do so can follow the race weekend live on ACI Sport TV (Sky channel 228), as well as via a live stream on the official Italian Gran Turismo Championship website and on ACI Sport’s social media channels.
For Mancinelli and the Easy Race team, Mugello represents their final opportunity to turn a season spent fighting at the front into the ultimate achievement: winning the Italian GT Endurance Championship title in the GT3 AM class.
