A second position for the last appointment of the season

In the last weekend of the Pirelli World Challenge Championship that was held at Watkins Glen in New York on September 1-2, Daniel – at the wheel of the Ferrari 488 GT3 prepared by the Tr3 Racing team – confirmed once again at the top of the ranking.
A great second place, achieved during qualifying, allowed the Italian driver to take the first row in race 1 alongside the Bentley #3 of Baptista and in front of the other Bentley #9 of Parente and Porsche #96 of Hargrove.
At the start Daniel was able to keep contact with Baptista and, thanks to an excellent race pace, managed to contain the gap from the leader and conclude the race in the place of honor.
In race 2, starting from P4 on the basis of the fast laps of Race 1, an excellent start allowed Mancinelli to overcome the Bentley #9 which was third and to attack the Acura #86 which started in second position.
In turn 1 the Acura, that was on the outside, didn’t leave the necessary space and the two cars came into contact causing a spin. Race ended for Daniel who had to return to the pits and retire.
“Too bad for the contact with the Acura in curve 1 in the second race.” – Daniel said – “I hope that Farnbacher has not seen me since I was completely inside, because throwing away a race like this makes no sense. The race commissioners have punished him with a Drive Trough. I’m very happy for the great second place got in Race 1! The Bentley #3 of Baptista was unattainable and the second place was the highest possible result! It was a season of successes, 4 podiums and a victory over the ocean! I want to thank the Tr3 Racing team for believing in me. ”
Next round during the weekend September 8-9 in Vallelunga for the Italian GT Championship.
