Daniel on the podium again

The weekend just spent at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the third round of the Pirelli World Challenge Sprint GT Championship was positive.
Already from the free practice on Friday, Daniel showed to be in good shape by recording the new track record in 1’14 “8.
On Saturday morning, the strong wind and rain affected the entire qualifying session, preventing Daniel from exceeding the fifth position on the grid despite being the fastest Ferrari on the circuit.
Race 1, which started 2 hours late due to rain and fog, saw the Italian driver of the Ferrari 488 Gt3 of the Tr3 racing team immediately regain on his rivals, completing two excellent overtaking and finishing race 1 in third position behind the Mercedes-AMG GT3 #2 of Morad (first on the finish line) and of the Porsche 911 GT3 R #24 of Christensen.
At the start of race 2, Mancinelli – who was starting from P7 this time – was able to complete two overtaking, but a hard overtaking beyond the limit of the sporting regulation in curve 10 from the Mercedes of Morad, made him lose 2 positions, ending race 2 in P7.
“I’m happy with the excellent podium achieved.” – Daniel said – “The team worked really well throughout the race weekend and we also managed to set the new track record. Unfortunately the weather conditions didn’t help us.”
The next events are scheduled for June 17th at Misano with the CIGT and for June 24th at Road America with the Pirelli World Challenge.
